Maastricht University School of Business and Economics invites alumni, business professionals, SBE students and staff for an interactive workshop on the topic of creative industries in the Maastricht region hosted by the Municipality of Maastricht. This workshop is one of the activities organised during the International Case Competition @Maastricht (ICC@M).

Maastricht, the oldest city in the Netherlands has great appeal, not only for day trippers and tourists, but also for new residents. This can be seen in the city’s wonderful nicknames, such as the “Culinary capital of the Netherlands”,  “Europe’s smallest metropolis” and “Best Shopping City of the Netherlands”. But what about Maastricht as THE Fashion City in the Netherlands or even Europe?

During this interactive workshop you will learn about the creative industry in the Maastricht region and discuss how Maastricht can become a renowned Fashion City. What strategy should the city of Maastricht pursue? How does this affect the demand and supply on the labour market, how can higher education institutions contribute, and how does it affect the entrepreneurs and retail market? What is needed, in terms of organisation, goals and commitment to achieve the goal of becoming a Fashion City in 2016? What can we learn from best practices in other cities?

Interested to find out more the creative industry in the Maastricht region and brainstorm with others on the development of Maastricht as Fashion City? Then register now for this unique workshop.
