Thammasat Business School wins ICC@M

Last week SBE’s first case competition, called ICC@M, took place. After a rather bumpy start due to the eruption of one of Iceland’s volcanoes, ICC@M turned out to be exactly as we hoped: an exciting event for the students, advisors, volunteers and staff. Despite the challenges caused by Europe’s (partially) closed airspace nine out of sixteen invited teams did make it to Maastricht and competed against each other for one for a place in the finals: the students had a mere 24 hours to solve the Starbucks case and to present their solution to a professional jury. Three teams were deemed the best by the jury and these teams participated in the finals on Saturday afternoon. In the end it was Thammasat Business School who took home the winner’s trophy while SBE partner university Nanyang Business School (Singapore) and the International team claimed the second and third place respectively.
